Professor Brendan McCormack D.Phil (Oxon.), BSc (Hons.), PGCEA, RNT, RMN, RGN

Professor of Nursing Research, University of Ulster; Professor II Buskerud University College, Drammen, Norway; Adjunct Professor of Nursing, University of Technology, Sydney; Adjunct Professor of Nursing, Monash University, Melbourne;  Honorary Professor, University of Aberdeen.

Brendan is Professor of Nursing Research, Director of the Institute of Nursing Research and Head of the ‘Person-centred Practice Research Centre’ in the Institute of Nursing Research, University of Ulster.  He leads a number of practice development and research projects in Ireland, the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia that focus on the development of person-centered practice.  His writing and research work focuses on gerontological nursing, person-centered nursing and practice development and he serves on a number of international editorial boards, policy committees, and development groups in these areas.  Brendan is Chairman of the older people charity AgeNI and President of the All-Ireland Gerontological Nurses Association (AIGNA)
